I am also very interested in the treatment of IBS with hypnotherapy. I completed several years of research and also carried out the first trial of its kind in Australia for my Ph.D from the University of Sydney.
IBS is a multi-faceted disorder with the two main areas of treatment being diet and stress. I feel that treating such a complex array of symptoms (both physiological & psychological) warrants more than just a CD. Treating a patient face-to-face, with a CD as back-up, to my mind, is more comprehensive and results in a more successful outcome.

Hi Julie, thanks for your comments. How did your trial go? Sounds very interesting. Certainly a face to face interview would allow you to understand the specifics of each case and aid you in your hypnosis treatement. As you would know in regards to hypnosis and the subconscious mind that when the subconscious is given instruction and accepts it as a belief it will take whatever measures it needs to make this belief a reality regardless of the specifics of the conscious perception.
Alison Burton has used her system of hypnosis successfully with many patients and has created this recording specially for this blog due to inquiries on this subject. Alison says the more you listen to the recording the greater your chance of success. I would love you to make a recording of your own to trial on this site.

Thanks, Admin.
